Born in Guangxi. In 1979 he attended the highs school affiliated with the Canton Academy of Fine Arts and in 1983，he attended the Canton Academy of Fine Arts to study in their Sculpture Department. Later，in 1985，he was a student at the South China University of Technology’s Department of Architecture，and then in 1987 he received a degree from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. That same year，in 1987，he became a municipal sculptor for the Canton Sculpture Court. At present，he is a member of the Chinese Artists Association，the Guangdong Artists Association，a member of the Guangzhou Sculpture Society，the U.S. Association for the study of sculpture established by the Under-Secretary-General，China Sculpture Society，and is a member of the United States Sculptor Association （ISC）.
